Description: Spring 2023 Update: There is now a fence left at the bottom of the stairs with a sign stating that it is an ecologically sensitive area. If you are going to jump the fence then please leave no trace and treat the area with respect. It is possible to walk around using the beach for anyone who is not that mobile
Update: Trail 7 is open again, with new stairs and rails.
There is good swimming at Main Beach (bottom of Trail 6) which is very mixed, gay, and straight. Everyone gets along very well there, and there are many food and drink vendors. There is a gay section on Main Beach located along the rock wall breakwater to the left and facing the water, but in recent years it has become more mixed including young gay guys wearing clothes.
There is no chance for action on Main Beach, but lots of action goes on in the trails behind Oasis Beach and Pebble Beach. Oasis Beach is between Trail 6 and Trail 7. Pebble Beach is south of Trail 7, past Strip Beach (in the area sometimes called Jurassic Park)
Facilities: Outhouses at the top of the trail but none at the beaches below. Beach vendors sell food and beverages on the main beach.
Nude beach area along the south-facing shore of Wreck Beach to the southeast of the Main Beach. These beaches are primarily frequented by gay men but some unaware straight visitors and families sometimes happen by.
