Description: The Silkin Way is a 13 mile long through-route from north to south Telford, designated in honour of John (later Lord) Silkin, Minister for The New Towns in the 1970s. A number of route markers are still to be found along its length, although parts of the original route have become a little vague now. Madely Court Mill is along the Silkin Way footpath and is next to where the GWR passes over the Tweedale to Madeley footpath and close to Madeley Court.
